Research News: Keep your brain healthy...drink tea!

Results of a recent study from Singapore looking at the brains of regular tea drinkers vs non-tea drinkers suggests that tea drinking has a protective effect on age-related decline.  The results of MRI's (brain scans) of older, healthy adults who drank tea at least 4-6 times a week since they were 45 years old showed that drinking tea was effective in preventing cognitive decline.     These results confirm previous studies showing that catechins, one of the components found in tea, enhance memory compared to placebo.  So raise a cuppa to the health of your brain!
