Imperial Puer is a Shu Puer from Jing Mai Mountain in the Yunnan province in China. Puer undergoes an additional step in its production through fermentation. Fermented black tea leaves contain probiotics that benefit the digestive system. "Shu" means "cooked" referring to the fermentation process that can take up to 2 months to complete.
The shelf life of Puer is long lasting and will continue to ripen over the years with each year offering a new tasting experience.
This tea is full bodied with an earthy flavour and smooth finish. The leaves can be re-steeped 4 times.
